My dear Jil, the problem some people have, which tendency you’re exhibiting, is that they don’t want to take responsibility for their lives. You must take responsibility for your life, and one critical area you have to take responsibility is in the area of marriage. “X told me not to marry you” is actually as bad as “Y told me to marry you.” You’re not taking responsibility for your life.
