Dear Jack,
I came across a shocking incident yesterday, the full narration of which will overwhelm this medium. Essentially though, a young man almost destroyed the electric power generator of his employer. You know what that means in Nigeria!
The young man never bothered to check the oil or water gauges. Both gauges were completely dry! And yet it was his responsibility. What a terrible attitude to work!
It’s important for you to have the right attitude to work. Solomon alluded to this when he said, it’s possible to get better work from an untrained apprentice than from a skilled rebel.
A wrong attitude precludes the future. If you want to get to your future get your attitude sorted out. Attitude begets altitude and amplitude.
Be enthusiastic about your work. Be diligent. Be responsible. Treat people with respect. Be committed. Deliver beyond your pay.
If you follow these simple rules the future will embrace you! I wish you a lovely week ahead!
Your mentor, LA
